Mountain SAR Harness

As this is a mission specific harness my critiques are more pointed and may not be a concern for all. The sizing ran a little large. The comfort of hanging in the harness is better than most of my previous harnesses. Considering the harness from a Mountain SAR application the packed size/bulk factor is a little high. This is not an ultra light harness but, I think it is worth carrying the extra bulk and weight. The singular impression I have taken from my limited usage, is, that it fits the intended vision extremely well (SAR). I have smaller harnesses and lighter harnesses but I absolutely see my self reaching for this as my go to harness for nearly every task and situation. The price is a little high compared to what you can get from other brands, but the combination of features, comfort, weight vs durability vs comfort, and quality hits a sweet spot I have never experienced before. I was disappointed when I received my harness and read the safety information. I found that the warranty was less than advertised ". . . 5 years of use, or 10 years from date of manufacture, whichever comes first." (https://mistymountain.com/pages/about) While this is not a deal breaker for me this is a significant consideration especially considering the higher price point.
