The good:
Very comfortable. The padding is awesome both at the legs and the waist. Really comfortable while hanging and I haven’t felt any tugging or feel like the harness has gotten in my way while climbing. So far I have no concerns while wearing it all day. Being taller at the waist also helps with some back support.
Plenty of options for carrying gear. I primarily sport climb/rappel and I can carry everything I need. Plus the loops do help push gear forward and make indexing everything easier.
The craftsmanship is exactly what I expected. This thing is solid and I’m confident it will last me years to come. It’s a nice feeling having a harness that will stand the test of time.
The bad:
Gear/prusiks leg loops, I wish they were a little bigger just because it’s mildly difficult to get a screw gate through (black diamond hot forge). I can probably find a carabiner that will fit better, but I just have a bunch of those. Over time the fit will probably get better as the material works in.
After that the harness really doesn’t have much to improve on. Yes it is kinda bulky, but there’s a lot of padding so that’s the trade off that you have to make. I’ll take a little less room and a little more weight in the pack to have less fatigue from climbing. It’s a happy medium between a lightweight and big wall harness. If you like to go outside just bite the bullet and get one because you won’t be disappointed.
i bought this for my partner for Christmas. he wanted a hybrid harness to use at both the gym and outdoors. he loves supporting local and small businesses and is very happy with the gift!
I purchased this harness after finally retiring my Corax after nearly a decade of use and am extremely pleased with my choice. It is extremely comfortable to sit in for long periods. The gear loops fit a full sport rack and some extra trad pieces perfectly and distribute the weight well.
One note: I was exactly at the break over between a size medium and large (32in) and opted for the large to fit over more layers. I have to cinch the harness all way the in most of the time when I'm just climbing in the gym, I might consider sizing down if I was to purchase another.
